Review Summary

Cary Plumbing Company receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with customers praising their:

  • Responsiveness and availability: They often provide same-day service and are available for after-hours calls.
  • Professionalism and skill: Reviewers consistently mention the team's expertise and courteous demeanor.
  • Quality of work: Customers are pleased with the installations and repairs, including water heaters, shutoff valves, and leak repairs (including polybutylene pipe issues).
  • Reasonable pricing: Prices are generally considered fair, even for emergency or after-hours services.
  • Trustworthiness: Many reviewers express satisfaction and a willingness to use them again.

However, there is one negative review regarding a gas line estimate. The reviewer felt misled by the estimator, who provided an estimate instead of a quote, and the suggested repair was not to code or safe. The reviewer also noted the company incorrectly stated a permit was not needed.

Cary Plumbing did great work replacing my water heater on short notice. They were able to make time to perform a same day diagnosis and make a recommendation and they performed a non-trivial replacement in the attic within 4 days at a reasonable price. Everyone on their team was skilled and professional.

We have had Cary Plumbing Company out several times and have always been pleased. Most recently Bailey did an excellent job replacing our interior main shutoff valve on a Sunday morning after I broke the knob off. He was very pleasant, professional, and left a nice clean installation. Price was reasonable for an afterhours visit.

For those of you who, like me, are so lucky to have polybutylene pipes (NOT)!!!!!! Last night we discovered a leak, in the wall and ceiling in our downstairs bathroom and hall. I called Cary Plumbing and they scheduled someone to come out today to repair. Tim showed up showed up around 9:30 and worked like the dickens to figure out where the leak was coming from. He was awesome! This is the second time I’ve had Cary Plumbing come out for leaking polybutylene pipes. Both times they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Prices were better than I expected, especially today being “after hours”. If you have poly pipes, chances are if you haven’t had leaks yet, you are likely to start seeing them. If you do have a leak, I highly recommend Cary Plumbing.

We have used Cary Plumbing twice in the last few months and have been extremely pleased with their work and will use them again in the future. We had Dom and Spencer both times and they were professional and knowledgeable. We appreciate that Dom took the time to take an extra step in our master bathroom to make everything work great! Thank you!

I called Cary Plumbing after another local plumbing company was giving me the run around. I’m so happy that I did. They even sent someone out same day. Rich was phenomenal and efficient. He was able to fix multiple issues I had within the hour. I will never call anyone else and I will be recommending them to all of my local friends/family. As a woman, I’m so happy to have found a company I can trust within the plumbing industry.

Not to be trusted. The gas estimator came out and gave me an “estimate” for a new gas line. I had asked for a quote. My gas line corroded from the AC condenser drip. He danced around and did not reveal to me how much could go wrong, when I tried to get an idea why it was an estimate not a quote. The reality was when cutting the old gas line they could hit the refrigerant line and I could lose all the refrigerant. What is worse the repair suggested was not to code and not safe since the original gas line was installed in a way that isn’t structurally sound. Cary Plumbing told me no permit was needed for this repair. That wasn’t true, a permit is needed when any amount of gas pipe is replaced. The suggested repair was not to code and was unsafe. I was relying on a licensed reputable company for advice so that I don’t have to be the expert on everything. Gas line installation isn’t my background. Luckily I called the City of Raleigh and learned a permit was required and I got more help from them on how to install the gas line safely, to code.
